This week we welcomed Year 5 pupils from Greenfield to our amazing academy for a special “taster day”.
90 pupils from Greenfield Primary school took part in a number of lessons across our academy to find out more about what our school is really like – and as you’ll see in the photos, they had a great time!
From Science experiments to detective work in English through to workouts in PE, we are really proud of the effort, determination and brilliant behaviour all the Year 5 pupils demonstrated today – they are a fantastic group of children and a great credit to Greenfield Primary school.
In addition to experiencing our exciting and engaging lessons, the pupils also tried our dining hall at break and lunchtimes where the students were able to sample a typical choice of snack and meals. Many students commented on the impressive range, and were especially impressed with the water melon slices on offer!
We really hope that the children had a great day and learnt lots of new things, as well as having a better idea about what secondary school is really like and feel more comfortable about transitioning from Primary school to Year 7.
