Saturday 22nd April 2023 marks the 30th anniversary since Stephen Lawrence was murdered in a racially motivated attack.
Our Heritage Week, which is taking place Monday 17th – Friday 21st April, is a celebration of the diverse heritage and unique identities of students and staff at Countesthorpe Academy.
The week will consist of a special lunch menu, containing meals from our staff and student heritage countries and a Stop The Clock Personal Development lesson, in which students will learn more about the legacy of Stephen Lawrence and Hopeful Futures and understand further the importance of race equality and anti-racism.
In addition, lessons and activities on Thursday 20th April will focus on different cultures and heritages, helping to increase our student awareness and understanding.
