The Countesthorpe Parish Council coronation event took place on Sunday 7th May 2023, and saw performances from our Year 9 students and local Ukrainian families 👑
Lyla and Alex, Year 9, are both exceptional dancers who performed a duet, with Lyla also performing a solo dance to a rather large audience during the event. We are proud to have such amazing students represent our Academy!
Our local Ukraine children have been practicing their performance on Saturdays, in the HIVE, with Mrs Miller, Ms Wakeling and Ms Denston. They performed last year’s winning Eurovision song “Stefania”, as crowds gathered around to watch.

It was amazing to see the children look so happy, confident, and content with a huge cheer given to them after their performance, with many people becoming very overwhelmed.
A big shout out to Vitalii, Vadym and Diana’s dad, who played the guitar to accompany the performance!
It was a great day with lovely weather and lots of sun, which meant one thing…ice cream! 🍦
