Countesthorpe Academy is delighted to report fantastic achievements by its students in their A levels and Level 3 qualifications this summer ⭐
Across all subject areas students have received excellent results. This is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our students and the support from an exceptionally committed team of staff.
Our top achieving students, who between them, achieved 12 A* grades have secured places at the University of Sheffield to study Law, the University of York to study Chemistry, the University of Durham to study Physics and the University of Birmingham to study Computer Science. Another of our top performing students has secured a much sought after Engineering Degree Apprenticeship at Jaguar Land Rover. We are really proud of the diverse range of courses and apprenticeships our students are able to access with their great results.
This cohort of students were those who did not sit GCSE exams in the traditional way due to the pandemic, so it is especially pleasing to see how well they have done! It has not been easy and the build up to exams for this group of students was met with many challenges. However, through perseverance and resilience they have lived out our Countesthorpe values of ‘being the very best they can be.’
Catherine Aitcheson, the school’s headteacher said: “We are extremely proud of our students and all they have achieved. Congratulations go to all our students who have worked exceptionally hard and thoroughly deserve the grades they have achieved today. We wish them all the very best as they take the next step to university, apprenticeships, and employment”.
