Christmas Food Collection

Countesthorpe Academy joins local community drive to collect food donations.

On Saturday 2nd December some of our festive student house leaders were joined by Mrs Frain, Mrs Miller and Mr Kilsby to take part in collecting food donations from the residents of Countesthorpe Village.

We were one of six teams who supported the Parish Council, walking a specific route, singing Christmas songs along the way, so that residents could hear us and give us their donations.

We were then invited into the church for some hot chocolate, cookies, and a mince pie – the perfect way to warm ourselves up!

It was a fantastic community event with Christmas carols sung by the church choir whilst the Church Christmas tree lights were switched on.

Our students were a credit to the Academy, and we really appreciate their dedication to their roles as student house leaders, we are very proud of you all.

A big thank you to Countesthorpe Parish Council and to St Andrew’s Church for inviting us to take part in such a great event!
