Countesthorpe Academy Crowned Regional Champions in Dance Competition

On Monday 26th February we took almost 50 students to compete in the East Midlands Heats of The Great Big Dance Off National Dance Competition.

Our students have been working extremely hard at dance club on a Monday after school and their commitment, dedication and hard work paid off!

We are thrilled to announce that our KS4 Squad were crowned regional champions!!! They will compete in the National Finals in Cheltenham on the 1st of July 2024. Our KS3 troupes also placed at a commendable 3rd and 6th in their competition just missing out on a place in the finals.

We are extremely proud of all our dance students they performed brilliantly on the night. They left nothing in the tank, showed fantastic dance skills and were amazing role models for the school and for each other. Thank you to all the parents, carers and family and friends that came to cheer us on too!

If your Son/Daughter would like to join the Countesthorpe Academy Dance squad, now would be a great time to get involved as we prepare for our Spring Show. Please meet at the activity studio next Monday 4th March if you would like to join in, all year groups welcome.

Huge thanks to the team Mrs Howden, Mrs Hunt, Miss Sophie and Miss Alice, and our Dance Ambassadors Libby, Abbie and Jess. Also a well-deserved thank-you to our resident seamstresses Mrs Ward and Mrs Miller, who made all this possible.

⭐⭐Join us in congratulating all our students for being the best they can be!⭐⭐
