GCSE Results 2017

Countesthorpe Leysland Community College is celebrating fantastic results again this summer. Following on from our brilliant A-Level results last week (with a record 24 A* grades) we are very proud of our departing Year 11 students, a number of whom achieved the coveted ‘9’ grade in English and maths.

As you will have read in the news, there has been much change in terms of new 9-1 GCSE grades in English and maths.

In Maths, the percentage of students achieving 4+ (similar to an old C or above) is better than national average.

In English Language, the percentage of students achieving 4+ was in line with the national average.

Some terrific individual performances gave us a combined 140 A*/9/8 grades and 307 A grades.

Congratulations once again to all students and we look forward to welcoming huge numbers of them on Tuesday for the start of A-Levels in Year 12.
