Last week our Year 12 & 13 A level Media students enjoyed a fantastic day experiencing life as media undergraduates at De Montfort University.
The day commenced with an insightful overview about life at university, after which they had a fascinating experience at the futures fair exploring the various aspects of the media and design courses available. This was followed by practical sessions, firstly applying chromakey green screen technology for weather presentations and simulations before delving into 3D graphic design; digitally modeling and sculpting animals using the high-tech university facilities. Our student‘s produced some interesting models and developed their skills in this complex and challenging design process.
This diverse and hands-on opportunity has played a crucial role in shaping our students understanding and skills in the field of media and design and giving a valuable insight into higher education.
