On Tuesday 23rd of January, Countesthorpe Academy hosted the touring production of the National Theatre’s Jekyll and Hyde. We were one of only 50 schools in the country, and the only school in Leicestershire to secure this fantastic opportunity, made possible by the strong links our Drama department has forged with both The Curve and The National Theatre.
Staff and students were exhilarated by the transformation of our school theatre into another world in just a few hours. Students had an amazing time and, judging by the excitement witnessed in lessons following the performance, this will be a lasting memory.
We are already looking forward to next year’s visit!
