Our Yr7 and 8 Girls Football teams shone at the recent LCFC girls football tournament, placing 2nd and 5th.
At this national competition run by the EFL, our girls faced tough competition from a variety of extremely talented teams. We were therefore thrilled with their results.
With team one winning 4, drawing 2 and losing 1 and team 2 winning 1, drawing 2 and losing 4, we were delighted with their effort and performance and especially pleased with them placing 2nd and 5th out of 8 teams; fantastic achievement.
All the girls played some great football and showed respect to each other and the opposing teams. Lola W won the golden boot, scoring the most goals during the tournament. She was one of 4 who won this award.
Team 1 came 2nd out of the 8 teams and team 2 came 5th. All the girls received a medal for their participation and team 1 won tickets to the LCWFC WSL game on Sunday against Tottenham.
