Dance trip – 5th October 🩰

On Thursday 5th October, Countesthorpe Academy Dance students visited the Peacock Theatre in London, to watch an interpretive Dance performance of ‘A Message in a Bottle’ 🎭

Based on the international refugee crisis, it is an uplifting and poignant tale of humanity and hope. Students in Year 10, 11 and Sixth Form have been studying the choreography during their lessons and have shown great empathy and sensitivity in their work as they explore displacement, immigration and the survival of refugees.

As Countesthorpe Academy is a refugee school, this is a topic that is in the heart of our community.

Year 9 Dance students were also invited to get a taste of their GCSE work for next year.As always, our students were a credit to the Academy - Mrs Howden and Mrs Hunt are extremely proud of them all.
