GCSE Results Day 2023

Countesthorpe Academy is delighted to report more outstanding achievements by Year 11 students in their GCSEs following last week’s A-Level successes.

Year 11 students have achieved a fantastic set of results. Across the year group 300 grades have been achieved at Grade 7, 8 and 9. An amazing achievement! We are so proud of our students, and their results reflect all their hard work and commitment. We’re delighted that so many have chosen to stay on in our Sixth Form too and applications are still being accepted for students. Interested students should contact Mrs Challinor kchallinor@clcc.college to find out more.

Catherine Aitcheson, the school’s headteacher said: “We are exceptionally proud of our students and their achievements today. Our students have been brilliant and have worked relentlessly to ensure they got the best possible grades. In a difficult year as we continue to recover from the pandemic, is it great to see so many fantastic results. Congratulations to our amazing students on their results today!

Gareth Williams (Executive Headteacher) said: “Our students should be so proud. They have achieved fantastic results – and done so despite this most turbulent period. These results show know only what they have learned but also that they can overcome challenges. And now they are ready to take their next step. Many of them will continue their learning at Countesthorpe, where they will be joined by students from other schools across the County. We look forward to welcoming them all.”
